Day 10 - St. Augustine to Fernandina Beach

Another nice day to travel the ICW... We had one last nice walk in St. Augustine and pushed off mid-morning to wind through the marsh areas of Palm Valley including Ponte Vedra. People take their boat docks very seriously in this Palm Coast area....usually much more elaborate than the house. The Fernandina Beach Marina is very near the Old Fernandina downtown area. It looks like a nice New England downtown with some Southern touches. There is a huge number of great restaurants in walking distance...yum! Like Key West, there is a heritage of Shrimping that has shrunk through the years.. A few scenes from downtown - Centre St.and The Cutest Train Ever. Staying in Fernandina Beach for three nights and then Savannah. Having some new issues with Blog....I think I messed up something when trying to embed a map. Bare with me!!

  1. Hi:
I guess they do take there docks seriously, we could move in!!!!! Well you sure did pick the right weather pattern to take your amazing adventure.
Beautiful here today, then the wind pick up and it got chilly. The pictures are great and we love following you on the blog. All is well here, up in Essex, but think I am going back to Easton tomorrow after the tennis.
It starts are 9AM. Should be an exciting match. Tess, Bingo, and Mr Rod are well. Bingo seems to be doing much better. Tessie caught a mouse outside tonight and carried it in before I knew she even had one. Rod, of course is saying, good girl. Yuk
Things are processing here. Can't wait to see you. Give hugs to all.
    Love, Diane
